Some think what I do is a kind of contemporary pointillism. The pointillists, artists like Georges Seurat, developed a style of individual DOTS, considered neo-impressionistic. Even Picasso and Van Gogh dabbled in this style. BUT the main difference between me and them, (besides gender and states of aliveness!) is that MY work is made up of brush STROKES, not DOTS. I also try to leave the gray underpainting visable, like grout lines, which is why I call it mosaic pointillism.
Whatever you call it, there is an excitement that happens NEUROLOGICALLY as your brain tries to smooth the pixilated images into something recognizable. I hope you enjoy these unique paintings as much as I enjoy making them!

Wondering if you make cards with your work? I love your creativity with color and shape. Also the B&W of squirrel and Mr Owl. Are those charcoal or pencil?
Hi Suzi. I do make cards and prints. The owl and squirrel are both pen and ink drawings. I have a stack of owl prints, they are 11″x14″ and on sale 2 for $25 plus shipping. They are press printed on heavy watercolor paper. I would sell the squirrel as an original drawing for $45 (matted, unframed) if you are interested.
